What is AliProductHunt?
We comb the sea of products in AliExpress for top selling products which have been ordered hundreds of times and have an average rating of more than 4 stars across hundreds of reviews. This ensures that the products we introduce to you are legitimate, of good quality and highly likely to serve your needs well.
We also categorize the products according to distinct identities, so that it is easier for you to find what you are looking for on our site.
What is Aliexpress?
AliExpress.com founded in 2009 is the largest marketplace offering products at factory prices direct from China. Most of the merchants are factories themselves, with most MOQs at one piece.
Aliexpress is owned by Alibaba. When you sign up for a free membership with AliExpress, you are actually registering with Alibaba.com at the same time.
Why are they so cheap?!
Most products come straight from the manufacturers, which means costs are only slightly marked up above the cost price. (yes, that’s how much margins your local retailers are making off you). However, if the price is too good to be true, then it almost always is! Don’t expect branded or luxury goods to be sold to you at 20% of the MSRP.
Who can benefit from AliProductHunt?
Anybody in this world who owns a credit card and shops online. Entrepreneurs, shop owners, suppliers, online shoppers, pranksters and especially people in the West who are looking for reliable suppliers in China.
Is it safe to purchase from AliExpress?
Absolutely yes. I have personally purchased more than $10,000 worth of items across the site, with a 100% delivery success rate. My experience on the site has taught me how to identify sellers across the spectrum. The use of an Escrow-based Alipay system to manage payments between sellers and customers may help to prevent the non delivery of products – a concern of customers and one of the major stumbling blocks with Alibaba.com.
Is AliExpress a scam from China?
AliExpress is not a scam, but there are unethical sellers so you need to be careful and do some research before considering making a purchase.
What are some basic warning signs you should be aware of?
1) They Offer a Wide Range of Products.
If the sellers profile indicates that they sell a wide range of products, this is an indication that they are a trading company and as a result you won’t get the best deals.
2) They’re Slow To Answer Or Don’t Respond At All To Pre-sell Questions.
If they don’t provide any pre-sell customers service, who is going to help resolve your situation if you have an issue after making a purchase and require customer service?
3) They Are Located in Fujian
While not all sellers from this region are crooks, sellers in this area have a reputation that is notorious for generating customer complaints.
4) They Don’t Use The Same Name Or Provide A Company Name Without A City
Sellers should always have a city attached to their name. Most Chinese companies do. If you come across a seller without a city attached to their name, you should be very cautious.
5) They Claim To Sell Brand Name Products
Brand name products are sold at brand name prices. It would be very unlikely that a small company like AliExpress could acquire brand name products to sell.
You may even consider testing the waters by making a small purchase before investing any significant amount of money in products.
